Given the inconsistencies, irregularities and the electoral commission abandoning the guidelines relating to the transmission of result from the polling units; a mechanism critical to the credibility and transparency of election in Nigeria. We have decided not to further support any other candidate in this election season in Nigeria
The focus of our future work in Nigeria will be, in the immediate, supporting the work in ensuring that whatever steps within the law, the presidential candidate of Labour Party takes in seeking redress succeeds.
This is in the hope that it results in restoring faith in the electoral process of Nigeria. We believe it is futile to support any other candidate for election in Nigeria until the mess of the 2023 presidential election is cleared up and mechanism put in place to ensure what happened does not happen again.
